Trail for visitors with special needs opens at Silver Lake Nature Center Earthship

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP — A new trail designed specifically to provide access for people with disabilities and mobility issues is now open at Silver Lake Nature Center.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Saturday at the center in Bristol Township to celebrate the new ADA Accessible Trail.

The trail extends from the Silver Lake Earthship Education Center to the parking lot of the park off Bath Road. It is generally level and has no steep inclines or extended changes in elevation for people who use wheelchairs, walkers or scooters to get around.

The trail was funded by Parx Casino.
